On May 8, 2006 in Chantilly, Virginia, two police officers were killed in the parking lot of a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. This is apparently a chain of restaurants. The restaurant apparently owed some fines for triggering too many false alarms so the manager asked for a waiver for his fines because the death of the two officers plus the subsequent funeral processions cost the restaurant quite a bit of business. While many of the other businesses in the area were donating to a fund for the families of the officers, Texas Roadhouse tried to use the tragedy to get out of paying their fines. File this under stupid and insensitive corporate tricks.
