2006 was a rough year for us for cats. We lost Biggles earlier this year.

Inky's mom was hit by a car last month. She was a ferral cat that was taken care of Mikey's OT. We buried Inky's mom in our back yard.

oh how painful, I so well know. Hugs to you and your family, and sorry about your loss. Our 4-leggeds are such a huge part of our family; they ARE family.

We have a very old, and very ill, cat, too. He's not in any pain yet, so we muddle along as best we can. I know the day will come, though, when I will be missing him, as you are missing Malibu.

I'm sorry too. I came over to say "Happy New Year", but I'm afraid that's not very appropriate here. Bless your heart for giving Malibu the extra time she had. It sounds like she was a lucky little cat.

I'm sorry. I've had to do this a few times, myself. It's never easy, though.
We've got Cleo, now, and Luna Nueva ("New Moon", she's black). Cleo's probably Luna's Grandma. Cleo honors me with her presence, once or twice a week. Other than that, she could care less. Luna's about 3 months old, she drinks water from the sink faucet and eats whatever Emma gives her - grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken nuggets. . .
Pets are great - the good and the bad. I miss my old bud Sammy, who learned to fetch wadded up paper. And Boomer, too, who whined incessantly when we took him home from the shelter. And Harold (weird Harold) who, when we got him, had no tail and a really screwed up back (he'd been hit by a car as a kitten. He'd sleep with his front paws one way, his back end 180 degrees out the other way.
Now you've got me reminiscing. Sorry. I know Malibu will live in your memories, too.
