That’s Nana’s birthday hat! She made herself a birthday hat out of a Trader Joe’s shopping bag and some stickers. No one ever accused Nana of not having a sense of humor.

And yes Jeff, Beth is indeed “blossoming”. She is turning from a cute little girl into a beautiful young lady. And a smart young lady too! The other day we got the grade for her Math A regents exam. She got an 89!

I only know Beth through your blog pics. It has been amazing to see her “blossoming” – a term only grandparents should use, probably, all the way from here.
By the way, I think you need to explain whatever it is on Nana’s head. I see it in this photo, too.
