Arghhh, Matey!
No doubt you thought piracy was a thing of the past or perhaps pirates were only found near Somalia. But as this map shows pirates live on even in the year 2008 and can be found all around the world (although mostly around the equator). Most of the incidents seem to involve ships being boarded and robbed when no one notices rather than rows of cannons firing into merchant ships but still… according to the ICC, it’s piracy!
