We didn't read this when I was in high school. I read a lot of the 19th century and early 20th century novels outside of school and this was one of those I started and tossed a few chapters in.

I did like To Kill A Mockingbird. It was a good book. I actually never read Lord of the Flies. My 10th grade English class was the only one that didn't read it. I've heard mixed reviews of it my friends.

I didn't know about Kate Bush but I knew by the fifth word - just tell her to talk endlessly about keys, locks, and lockets and she will do great - I had to read that book once or twice in high school then again in lit 1, then again when I changed universites for another degree because "US schools don't have the rigor of teaching" - ack! I heard that Bush or Clinton kept it on the bedstand and there are clubs who read it every year. I have been on those moors and unless you love freezing wind, it ain't romantic. What did she think of Kill a Mockingbird or Lord of the Flies?
