The Polecats – Make A Circuit With Me
Here is this week’s song off my iPod. A DJ from WBAB gave me this song that I hadn’t heard in years.
The Polecats are a rockabilly group formed in North London in the late 1970′s. The members of the group are Tim ‘Polecat’ Worman (Vocals, Guitar), Martin ‘Boz’ Boorer (Vocals, Lead Guitar), Chris Hawkes/Neil Rooney/John Buck (Drums), and Phil Bloomberg (Slap bass).
The group had their best success in Britain in the early 80′s but continue to tour even today in Europe, Japan, and the US. The band has released 16 albums with their most recent being Rockabilly Cats which was released two years ago. However, the groups only song to reach the charts in the US was “Make a Circuit With Me” which was released in 1983.
Make A Circuit With Me
A sweet romance is not for me
I need electricity
If you wanna make me flip
Hit me with a micro chip
[Chorus]
I’ll be a diode, cathode, electrode
Overload, generator, oscillator
Make a circuit with me
Just plug in and go-go-go
I’ll be your human dynamo
Signals in my power cord
Impulse on my circuit board
[Chorus]
I’m an AC/DC man
You can read my circuit diagram
I feed on electric jolts
I need fifty-thousand volts
[Chorus]
A sweet romance is not for me
I really need electricity
If you wanna make me flip
Come on and hit me with a micro chip
[Chorus]
I’m an AC/DC man
You can read my circuit diagram
I feed on electric jolts
I need fifty-thousand volts
[Chorus]
