Sara Palin Please Shut Up
If you look to the upper right of this page, you will see that we are fighting against the use of the R-Word. For those who don’t know, that word is “retard” and it is offensive to those of us who love someone with a mental disability. Back in August, White House Chief [...]

I haven’t been writing in awhile because… well… I really don’t have a reason. But I’m going to start up again. Meanwhile everyone needs to read this article:

Discuss.Mikey Losing Weight
Since May, Mikey has been losing weight like crazy. The little guy was never heavy but he has lost 17 lbs. (down to 70 lbs) so now he is like a stick figure. We have been going nuts trying to figure out why this is happening. We took him off the Risdperdal [...]
Happy Birthday Mikey
Mikey turned 12 on April 11th. We had a party at Michel’s sister, Eileen’s house on Easter Sunday. Mikey was pretty good and enjoyed playing with his cousins. I can’t believe that Mikey is in his last year before turning into a teenager. He still seems like my little boy.

But Elliott made two mistakes. First, he was born to parents who are not citizens, although they are legal immigrants. Second, he had no insurance. [...]
McCain-Palin – Advocates?
In her speech at the Republican Convention, Sarah Palin told us that she would be an advocate for the disabled. But where does the McCain-Palin ticket stand?
The research the DSRTF is paying for that may help children with Down syndrome is not being paid for by the US government. The cost of that [...]
31 For 21 Again
Once again, it is time for the 31 for 21 Challenge. Tricia, the mom of Georgia, and blogger over at Unringing the Bell, created the challenge last year. The rules of the challenge are fairly simple… blog every day for the entire month of October in salute to Down syndrome Awareness Month. [...]
