Getting Close
Obama wins Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin; McCain takes Kansas, North Dakota, and Wyoming. It’s now 175 to 70. Obama needs 95 more. Add California to Obama and he needs 40.

Looks like McCain gets a clean sweep in the deep south. It’s now 103-58.

The Democrats had hoped to get to 60 Senators which would make them filibuster proof but that looks fairly unlikely at this point. There are seven Senate races that are interesting to watch and the Democrats need to win five of them to get to 60 votes.
Three seats look comfortably Democratic.
